Pete Pelletier learned to work with his hands from his grandfather in Montreal. The family moved to Southern California in 1965, and by his early 20s, he’d decided that being his own boss would be his path. With a talent for precision woodworking, Pete turned his Ocean Beach garage into a shop that eventually evolved into The Pelletier Caseworks in downtown San Diego, where he and his employees designed and built custom kitchen and bath cabinetry for high-end homes across San Diego County.
In 1999, he took his knowledge of and reputation for excellent finish work in a new direction, founding The Pelletier Company on a philosophy of supplying discerning clients with top-of-the-line window and door products. With minimal marketing and a high reliance on referrals, Pete built and sustained the company by supplying only proven products, working with precision installation subcontractors and providing responsive, solutions-focused service.
Pete is a certified fly-fishing guide and a licensed captain. He lives in a mid-century adobe home in Escondido with his wife and teenage daughter, Gretchen. Son Charlie is a broadcast associate at Fox Sports in Los Angeles. Daughter Sue is an elementary school teacher in Solana Beach who is married to David McFarland, one of The Pelletier Companies top producers.
